Staff team update

Hannah here! This week we advertised for a part-time admin role, which I realise might lead to some confusion as Kat has been our administrator for the past 3 years.

First things first: Kat is not leaving! In fact, quite the opposite — we’re recognising just how much she has grown into a central, pastoral, and deeply valued part of G2’s leadership and community life.

Over the past few years, I’m sure you will agree that Kat’s role has grown far beyond what was originally an admin-focused job. She has become a go-to person for so many of us, offering care, wisdom, support, and encouragement in ways that go far beyond the spreadsheets and rotas (although she’s still great at those too!).

 

So, after prayerful conversations in SLT and with the support of the Church Council, we’re reshaping the staff team slightly. We’re bringing in a new part-time administrator (just 4 hours a week) to take on some of the regular admin tasks — things like managing ChurchSuite, rotas, and communication — so that Kat can focus more of her time and energy on the areas where she brings unique value to the church.

We’re also updating her job title to reflect that shift — from now on, she’ll be the G2 Community & Support Coordinator, which is a much better reflection of who she is and what she does.

Please do pray for the right person to join the team in the new admin role.
