Baptism
Baptism marks the beginning of a journey with God which continues for the whole of our lives, the first step in response to God’s love.
Here is a prayer from the baptism service:
May God, who has received you by baptism into his Church, pour upon you the riches of his grace, that within the company of Christ’s pilgrim people you may daily be renewed by his anointing Spirit, and come to the inheritance of the saints in glory.
A few times a year we have a 'Baptism Sunday' for baptisms and re-affirmation of baptismal faith.
If you are a follower of Jesus we would love to baptise you; if you were baptised as an infant we can offer the opportunity to reaffirm your baptismal vows. We are also happy to baptise youth who are supported by their parents and the children of Christian families. We also offer Confirmation, by a bishop, for people who have been baptised.
