G2 City

G2 City meets at 6pm on Sunday evening at the Central Methodist Church in York city centre. Everyone is welcome, no matter what your belief or background. It’s a great chance to meet new people and make friends.

What to expect?

G2 City is a service that aims to be an innovative and create space to dig deep. There is no provision for children at this service, but older youth are very welcome.

You can arrive from 5:30pm onwards where you will find a cup of tea or coffee awaiting you - if you have one, please bring a keep-cup as we are trying to reduce our paper and plastic usage. Our meeting starts at 6pm where the theme of the meeting will be explained followed by some music and worship. The main part of each G2 meeting is a talk based on a passage or topic from the Bible.

Our Purpose

Our purpose as G2 City is to equip one another to transform culture by living a creative expression of church in the centre of York.

We are building a family where everyone is invited to belong, loved as they are and empowered to become who God created them to be.

We are committed to helping each other discover and develop our God-given passions, and to raising leaders.

We are rooted in prayer and the Bible, and dedicated to courageous obedience to the Holy Spirit. We are learning to live out Jesus’ teachings in our city and to join in with God’s vision for our world.
