Please find attached the latest update from Joel Blacker …
Here’s the latest News from Joel Blacker working with the Food for the Hungry project in Asia.
Joel Blacker spoke at G2 last Sunday about his new role with the Food for the Hungry project.
Here’s what he says,
I shall be working as the Asia Regional Coordinator for the organisation Food for the Hungry, initially for 3 years and working alongside and assisting St Mikes mission partner John Marsden.
Food for the Hungry are a Christian organisation working to eliminate both physical and spiritual hunger worldwide. In Asia this work is wide-spanning, ranging from, for example, relief work (such as in the aftermath of recent cyclones and the boxing day tsunami), long term development programmes, and training Christian leaders in the region.
My role will involve ‘living out of a suitcase’ much of the time, while returning to a permanant base initially in Dhaka. I see the role as a great oppurtunity to serve God and I would really appreciate your prayers.
