Over the summer one of the Cell groups at G2 is running a Start Course - this covers the basics of Christianity. We’re meeting on Tuesday evenings 7-8pm in the Belfrey Hall for 6 weeks.
One of the cell’s at G2 has just completed a Besom project.
The group wanted to do a project and after praying they felt that God told them to do a project on a certain road in Clifton and that it had something to do with a broken wardrobe. The very next day a Social Worker contacted The Besom in York and mentioned about a project on the very road that God spoke about! The work was to clear a garden of the rubbish collected due to the family having Bed bugs - this meant they had to throw all their soft furnishing out. Read more here
Cell groups are small groups that are networked together. They are a huge part of what we do at G2. In them, we continue to discuss issues, build community and grow closer to God. The cell groups are running Besom projects as well so there is plenty to get involved in. (for more info see www.thebesominyork.co.uk)
Cells are where people chat, make friends and discuss thoughts from the Sunday meeting or other topics. You don’t have to call yourself a Christian or agree with what you hear - these are groups where its fine to disagree and discuss. Read more here

Each cell is unique and meets the needs of the people in the group - this means there is no set way of doing it. The group meets to explore Jesus and it doesn’t matter where you are - whether you don’t know if there is a God or whether you have been a Christian for 20 years - we can all learn together.
Cell is a place where each person has the chance to use their gifts and learn something new. There are leaders to help steer the group, but the group belongs to everyone in it and everyone has equal input.
For further information on any of the cells you can speak to Luke Smith, Clare Mulrooney or Mike Law, the cell pastors, and we’d be happy to chat or point you in the right direction to join a cell.
G2 is a café-style event held at 11am every Sunday at the Next Generation Gym in York. If you are interested in exploring the Christian faith or find traditional church difficult then G2 might be for you.
