Watch Rob’s 1 minute story about how he has learned to trust God for all that he needs.
This week at G2 (& right across the services at St. Michael Le Belfrey) it is Giving Away Day. It is an exciting opportunity to give generously as a whole church to support work that God is doing elsewhere.
We at G2 decided that we’d live to give to the Besom in York*. This money will make a huge difference to many people in York – so Thank you in anticipation.
It would be great if you could pray about your giving & for the Besom.
- Pray before you come on Sunday: How much to give, for how it is spent & the people it will make a difference for.
- Go to the Besom Prayer Meeting: Thursday 26th November 7.30pm at St. Andrew’s Church, Huntington.
We have a really exciting opportunity coming up for generosity and faith.
In the past we at G2, with the rest of St Michael le Belfrey, have participated in gift days. These have been essentially to raise money for internal church-related things and we have given away some of the money.
On the 22nd November, as an act of faith, we are going to have a “Giving Away Day” when we give 100% of the total we raise away to other organisations in God’s Kingdom.
This is an exciting way of giving collectively, as a whole church, to what God is doing elsewhere. Each congregation of St Michael’s has chosen something to give to and G2 has chosen The Besom in York. This was decided through a vote in the G2 cell groups. If you are not in a cell group – do join one! Read more here
At G2 part of our vision is to see members serving those in need… one way to do this is through The Besom in York.
The Besom in York exists to form a bridge between a church and its community. It takes that which someone wants to give, whether it is time, money, skills or things, and finds someone who genuinely needs it.

Join us this Sunday at G2 for the last in our new series on Social Action. Don’t forget that Clocks go forward this Sunday!
