G2 is taking on Elim in a football match on Sunday 14th March, 3pm til 5pm.
On the JLD astroturf at York University (next to the sports centre)

It will be about £3 each to cover the cost of the pitch.
If you are interested then we will be playing in white (although wear red if you don’t have anything white). You may want to wear shin pads but it will be trainers only as I think studded boots and blades are not allowed on the astroturf.

We have access to the gym for 50 people on the 31st Jan and 28th Feb this term. It costs £1.50 each and you need to reserve your tickets for the 31st Jan by emailing Sam Butterfield on Sam@G2york.org or 07919097295.

Please feel free to buy tickets for guests and bring friends. It is a good opportunity to do just that and share our community with others.

G2 Girls is up and running! This time we’re going for a laid back event- we’re all going to the pub! This is on Monday the 16th of November at Harker’s Bar in York. Harkers is in St Helen’s Square- the square in front of Betty’s, near Lush and Borders. We will meet there from 7.30pm, turn up when you can. All ladies are welcome and do bring friends.

Following the success of last year’s comedy and curry, we are pleased to announce that we are running another night for blokes. ILLUSION. This is an evening with Daniel Alexander, the illusionist, for contemproary mind magic.

Daniel is wide regarded as the finest close up magician in the UK and he will be with us all evening and performing his stage show. He is similar to “Derren Brown” in technique but not as weird, and a bit funnier. For more info go to www.charismagic.com [Read more here]

The David Lloyd are giving us access to the gym for 50 people twice this term – 1st November and 6th December. It will cost £1.50 per person. For this price we get access to all of the facilities (pool, sauna, full gym, racquet sports).

These are great chances to get to build community, hang out together and to invite friends.

The last G2 Sunday meeting for this term will be on Sunday 12th July. G2 on Sunday then takes a summer break and we’ll be back and ready to go on Sunday 6th September.

To round this term off with style Michael & Louise Luck have very kindly agreed to host a BBQ at their house on that afternoon. Everyone is invited and we hope you’ll come along.

After G2 on Sunday 14th June we have 50 free passes to the gym and swimming pool. It is strictly first come, first serve so please email luke@g2york.org asap to book tickets.

It is a great opportunity to bring friends along to G2 and then hang out with them afterwards. A few people did this last time and it worked well.

On May 14th, the G2 Women are having a fantastic pamper night! There will be a beauty therapist available who can provide massages, waxing etc… one 20 min treatment is £15 (or £12 if you are a student and can provide a photocopy of your student card) or two 20 min treatments are £25 (or £20 if you’re a student). We’ve booked the Belfrey Hall and we’re going to be chilling out all night! 

Also, some lovely ladies have offered their help for the evening- so manicures, hair styling and a chocolate fountain is also available, amongst other lovely things. The lovely Miss Natasha Wilson is going to be orgaising some bring and share food for the evening also.
