The Comedy and Curry event this Friday night is sold out now! 120 blokes. It will be awesome.

There is comedy and breakfast the next morning though and there are still tickets available for that if you are interested. It is a full cooked breakfast with a different comedy set from Paul Kerensa. He will be talking about his life as a comedian and how being a Christian affects that.

So, Saturday 8th Nov at 7:45am in the Spurriergate Centre.

We have free entry to the Next Generation gym for 50 G2 people this Sunday (9th Nov)!! This is something that we have negotiated with the gym to happen every term. It is complete entry to the whole gym and swimming pool for the day. We can get entry straight after G2 finishes.

Lots of us will be getting a bite to eat in the restaurant as well so it would be great if you could join us.

Momentum is building towards the comedy and curry night. Tickets will be available at G2 this Sunday and they will sell out quickly.

The idea of the evening is stand-up comedy from Paul Kerensa, a professional comedian, and a variety of curries. It is not an evangelistic event. It is something that you can invite mates along to and just have a good time. Blokes having a beer together.

There is also a Men’s Breakfast with the same comedian the next morning for those of you who can’t make it to the evening curry.

Paul Kerensa is a professional comedian who tours the comedy circuit and writes for the BBC. He is very funny. 

Come and enjoy his show with a range of curries cooked by Carl Tinnion. The aim of this evening is that blokes have a good night out with their mates.

It costs £10 per bloke and is in the Spurriergate Centre in York.

Its swimming this Sunday at G2.  Everyone is welcome and you can invite guests as well.

The cost is £3 per person and there is an outdoor, indoor pool, sauna & jacuzzi.  Do come along and join us for a dip.

As you may know, Jim Roberts is stepping down from the leadership of G2.

He has led us faithfully for three and a half years. Jim has been a great help to many of us in our understanding of God, tolerance of the Church and building meaningful community. He is a superb teacher, an inclusive and releasing leader and a great friend.

By way of thanking Jim for his leadership, we are going to have a meal straight after G2 on the 6th July. Please prioritise this and invite friends who may no longer come to G2 but appreciate Jim and Shirley.

The buffet food will be provided by the Next Generation and will cost £5 for adults and £3 for kids. It must be paid for in advance in the same way that we have done in the past. We need to know numbers asap so please email Luke if you can make it and how many people you are bringing on luke@G2york.org.

Hey guys… unfortunatley the invitation and idea of G2 to Xscape is cancelled. We were unable to make the numbers up for a group booking for Saturday 31st May 08. But look out for other social ideas and events coming soon!!!
